I had a wonderful time in South Boston this weekend at Paul & Sue’s wedding. Their family and guests were gracious and kind. The ceremony was held in a gorgeous church and graced by a beautiful rainbow at the conclusion. And everyone in attendance knew how to party! Here are a handful of shots I saw during my backups.
Oh! Somehow I forgot to mention the guest appearance by Jackson 5!!!
They had people tearing up the dance floor as you can see from these 2 photos!
Paul also had everyone on their feet….
Rock and Roll!
If you take a good look at this photo you’ll notice that I couldn’t help myself during Meatloaf’s “Paradise by the Dashboard Light” and I did some floor surfing for this shot. The bride and one of the usher’s were reciting every word into the microphone completely unaware of my snake like actions. IT seemed only one person caught on in the top left corner of this shot
I’m currently traveling the east coast for little bit of business and a pilgrimage home to see my family and friends in Bucks County Pennsylvania. Before leaving town I had a myriad of weddings, theater shoots and loose ends to tie up so I’ve been MIA from the blog for a while. I had a wedding on Saturday that I’ll post photos of soon, but here are a few shots from New Hope PA where I had dinner on the water front with my parents this evening!
I’ve had the distinct pleasure of meeting some adorable kids lately and the added bonus is that we got to do a photo session too! Meet 2 more sweethearts. A young man who has captivating eyes and a caring nature exhibited by his interactions with his younger sister - who initially was a little shy in front of the camera. Take a look at the great time we had swinging, climbing, running and playing with their favorite toys!
This is brilliant. I bet I’m way behind the cool geeks in posting this, but it had me ROFLMAO!!!! It also doesn’t really fit the format of my blog… but seriously I think its THAT FUNNY!
I had the pleasure of photographing our friends’ wedding this past week. Kim’s dress was gorgeous and her glow emanated all day long. Matt’s smile was contagious and Grant Humphrey’s Mansion was a stunning venue. There is so much to share from the day, but here a few quick shots I grabbed.
I told you, AMAZING dress. Kim looked fetching as you can imagine from this glance.
Matt’s attire was sharp too!
The flowers were beautiful too. I loved the Men’s boutonniere’s below.
Also, Matt was just full of smiles all day long, except when he was looking tough with the guys.
Kim and her cousins in front of the main entrance. Kim has amazing taste as you can see both here and in the two images below where she’s rocking her incredible dress and a little sass too!
Thanks guys, it was an honor to be able to document your day!!!
Sometimes things are just meant to be. Peanut Butter and Jelly for instance is one of those intrinsically tied simplicities of life. And sometimes terribly complex things like relationships can be as perfectly simple and meant to be as peanut butter and jelly. Gavin and Corrie are one amazing couple who clearly were meant to find one another and live their lives in natural harmony.
I was utterly flattered to be a part of this very special occasion. Corrie’s unwavering grace and beauty, combined with her genuine warmth are a perfect fit to Gavin’s natural humbleness and the pure joy he finds in every aspect of life. As she walked down the aisle, he waiting at the other end, the magnetism was evident. Their eyes kept meeting during prayer and the unabated excitement of their union pulsed through them both. The electricity of the moment during that first kiss as husband and wife and then the second kiss as husband and wife (directly following the first) ultimately erupted in bridesmaids giggling, Gavin and Corrie unabashedly taking in this momentous day and their family and friend’s cheering and clapping in support. It was a fantastic ceremony. And a fantastic day. Gavin and Corrie are in for one fantastic life together with the support and blessings of a wonderful group of people who also happen to be amazing dancers. Thanks to all of you for including me in this incredible day.
One quick shot from yesterday’s event. I heart lens flare
Matt and Kim have been together a LONG time. From what I understand they’ve already had a blissful 9 year relationship. So their upcoming wedding is almost a decade in the making and bound for success. I’m excited to share in their big day. And now after our silly, fun and a little bit sexy engagement shoot I’m even more thrilled to capture it! We shot downtown at a few different locations and they even indulged me with the yellow wall I love so dearly. Thanks guys!
We kicked things off at some gorgeous gardens.
I love the rainbow in this shot and decided to take it a step further with some textures.
Matt & Kim brought another set of clothes to change up the feel of this shoot and I think it worked nicely with the downtown setting.
I LOVE this wall and I’m so glad Matt & Kim indulged me. I love this shot!
The wind was mussing up Kim’s hair all afternoon, but I think it contributes to her hottness in this photo!
Not only is there a ridiculous yellow wall, but there’s also this HUGE sign that says “All together now”. FUN!
I just love this last shot of the day!
Thanks for being troopers. You guys are wonderful and so are these images
I’ve been doing a lot of my own shooting this summer, but the majority of my work has been alongside the wonderful Gail Buhler of Encore Portraits. We had one wedding to kick off the July 4th Holiday weekend at the gorgeous Arrowhead Golf Course. This is an image I pulled out of my cards that I thought was just really indicative of the setting. Amazing clouds, scenery and a beautiful bride.
