Colorado has some beautiful backdrops for photography and this is one I’ve wanted to shoot at for quite some time. So I was excited when I heard from Jessica again about taking photos of their adorable growing family on the grounds of Mother Cabrini Shrine. Jessica and Torsten’s newest addition has grown so fast and he’s just the sweetest, happiest little guy! Plus, I can’t get enough of their dog Montana. Aren’t they freaking cute?!

I love when clients choose the Moody Un-booth. It’s simple. It’s fun. It’s entertaining. And it’s a great way to get hilarious candid photos of everyone who attends your wedding. I love the creativity of the guests at Claire & David’s wedding this past weekend. They brought all sorts of stuff (including themselves!) into the booth and got crazy. Here are a few highlights, enjoy!

Travel Photography in Western Massachusetts

I love travel. I find it so rejuvenating to see new places, get out of my comfort zone and be inspired by the world. Right now I’m in Massachusetts, which is familiar territory. I went to school in Boston. I have friends scattered along the coast and my wonderful Aunt Kathy is here too. She and I spent Wednesday traveling west into the more rural areas of the state where I have not spent much time. We picked apples, met with friends, talked to strangers who are now friends, photographed a new tiny baby boy, wandered the streets of Amherst, stumbled upon farmers markets and I even got to take Kathy on her first geocache! It’s been a wonderful time thus far. Today I visit with one of my best friends from college and tomorrow I’ll be photographing the wedding of another friend. Then Sunday I race to NYC where I will meet up with Drew and two amazing people for a couple more days of fun. I’m feeling pretty blessed right now!

We met this little guy and his mommies for the first time on our trip. This is my Aunt holding him. She loves babies!

The fruit is so beautiful and plentiful!

Old barns are filled with lovely texture and make great photography backgrounds. Kind of wishing I’d made my Aunt let me take her portrait!

I have a soft spot for farmers markets. They remind me of home in Pennsylvania.

We met this guy while geocaching in Amherst! He looks a little dangerous!

Suki came to me hoping to surprise her husband with some fun photos for their wedding day. But the wedding was just a couple weeks away. My new space was just finished and still completely barren. We sprung into action, creating a makeshift studio on a hot summer day. And these awesome photos are the result. Enjoy!

I had to post these photos from Sundays wedding. Jessie and Rebecca, together with their family and friends, make me feel like I’m home. I’ve never received so many hugs at one wedding. It was beautiful. Adoption papers are in the works.

Whitney and I met for the first time last year when she contacted me out of the blue to ask if I could capture her family while on their summer trip to Colorado. We made awesome photos then and I was stoked to be able to meet up with them again this year! Check out the fruits of our labor below. I’m extra proud since Whitney is an excellent photog in her own right. And oh yeah, isn’t Whitney’s fashion sense spectacular?
