So I’m pretty stoked about this and I hope you enjoy it too! One of my very lovely brides (and friends) from last year is the subject of a photo I’ve had printed in the new issue of Rocky Mountain Bride. So fun! The image was taken at Meadow Creak Bed and Breakfast in Pine Colorado. Holly was a super champ when I asked her to hike out into a clearing for the shot and it came out beautifully if I do say so myself! Thanks Holly and thanks Rocky Mountain Bride!

Sherri and Wyatt were married in Denver Colorado at Werth Manor a little less than a month ago. When Sherri and I first met she mentioned her wedding colors would be black and pink – my favorite color combo! I knew at that moment she and her husband to be were great clients.

When I arrived at Werth Manor I was greeted by an amazing sight. MANY MANY MANY tables decorated with gorgeous bright pinks and lovely details, perfect flower centerpieces arranged by Sherri’s florist family members and the most adorable cake! I know Sherri paid special attention to all the details of her day and it all came out beautifully. The bridesmaids had an array of dresses in pinks and blacks that photographed beautifully in the summer light. It was a gorgeous day and Sherri and Wyatt glowed as they finally exchanged rings and walked back down the aisle as Mr. & Mrs. Wyatt Ball!

Holly and Bill were married at the beautiful Meadow Creek Bed & Breakfast in Pine Colorado on July 18th. They had a lot of family and friends travel to Colorado from Texas and wanted to pick a special place they could all enjoy and share together for the weekend. The mix of picturesque surroundings and seclusion of the Meadow Creek made for not only a beautiful day, but a serene and relaxing weekend with one another. Holly and Bill did a wonderful job of picking out a perfect spot for their gorgeous day AND they put a lot of hard work into special touches (was that Star Wars when you walked down the aisle at the end of the ceremony?!) that reflected their personalities.

Because I’m close to Holly myself I’ve been tearing up through all the editing. From Bill’s lovely daughters who were by Holly’s side sharing her excitement the whole day to Holly’s amazing sisters who glowed with pride that she had found the perfect man for her. Thank you Bill & Holly for having me at your wedding. It was my pleasure to share your amazing day. And a special thanks to Jason Bach who rocked out second shooting for me!

I like to think I’m always invested in my clients. I care about their day. I want it to be perfect for them. I want to create photographs that will remind them of the most perfect day of their lives, the one they’ve spent months planning, the one where they finally get to say I do and celebrate everything they mean to one another. But photographing a friends wedding is different. It’s harder to focus through the inevitable tears during the ceremony, because the investment is SO strong. I still TRY to be professional, but sometimes my elation overwhelms me. At Holly & Bill’s wedding I don’t think I did a very good job of concealing my emotion. Holly’s Uncle Bob approached me and asked who I was, because it was obvious I wasn’t JUST the photographer! He, like the rest of Holly and Bill’s family, was glad to consider me a friend and accept me into their warm and welcoming family. It was a beautiful day in a perfect and serene location.

If I hadn’t had the good fortune of being their photographer I would have been there as a guest, watching these two beautiful and very deserving people unite for the rest of their lives. Holly & Bill, watching you get married was a pleasure. Thank you for having me at your wedding!

Last weekend I had the pleasure of joining Dustin, Kim and their wonderful families at the Denver Botanic Gardens for their wedding. It was a beautiful day with a sprinkling of good luck rain drops here and there which made for great images. Their ceremony was simple, heart felt and not without tears. To honor where they came from they had a sand ceremony with sand from each of the US coasts. Dustin’s sand came from Cape Cod with his parent’s, while Kim’s family brought their sand all the way from California! And they wrote one another beautiful letter’s that were displayed at the reception! Can you tell how much i loved this wedding? It was about people coming together from across the country to celebrate two people who they love and cherish, committing to love and cherish one another forever. It was perfect!

It was such a pleasure being involved in your day Kim & Dustin and I really enjoyed meeting your families. They were all so warm and welcoming I truly felt like a guest. Thank you for having me document all the amazing moments and congratulations!

An amazing friend, a beautiful wedding, and an incredible amount of photos. Not only are there a ton of awesome images from this wedding, but every time I go to edit them I get all teary eyed and sappy. My friend of all these years on HER day, looking SO gorgeous, surrounded by all these wonderful people who LOVE her. I’m sorry to everyone who’s anxiously awaiting these photos. The combination of a billion images and a trillion emotions is taxing. Here are a few more previews to keep you satiated! These photos are going up MONDAY no matter what it takes!

My brother Dan got married this past weekend. The wedding was gorgeous. I felt lucky that I was asked by his beautiful bride-to-be to take photos of her and her bridesmaids getting ready! I took photos of the girls and then grabbed a few of the “first look”. My brother came into the bridal suite and found Courtney waiting for him looking stunning. I was honored to join her in the bridal suite and get to take some photos, but I was also stoked to enjoy a wedding as a guest!

Since it was the first wedding I’d attended with my family and the first wedding I’ve been a guest at (and not a shooter at all) I put my camera away and enjoyed an evening of tender moments, amazing food, beautiful scenery and busting a move to a killer live band!
