Luang Prabang, Laos – Travel Photography

Luang Prabang was probably the biggest surprise of our trip. I honestly had no idea what to expect of Laos. Someone had casually mentioned not to expect much, suggesting that Luang Prabang was a bit behind in terms of meeting the needs of tourists.  Instead, we found a charming and beautiful French french colonial town propped on a penninsula between the Mekong and Nam Kahn rivers. It was tiny and walkable, littered with cafes, temples, stray dogs, welcoming locals, and friendly monks in orange robes. The fertile land extending beyond was richly green, brilliant with crops, the countryside percolating with peaks and valleys.
