Photography With a Purpose

One thing I’ve always loved about photography is that given a purpose it conveys important information. Images of war, poverty, destruction, and even happiness can serve a higher purpose with the right delivery and intention. They can wield power.

Today I felt the power of these images taken by Denver photographer Jenna Walker of a family who is living fully in the moment. The father in these pictures just underwent his 12th heart surgery. The images were made even more powerful by these words (in the post “This is an important post. Please think of Ben today.” from Jenna’s friend Carley .
