Today is our last day in Munich. Unforunately there are no pictures from Munich, because we spent most of our time avoiding the cold and drinking beer. It was really frigid. The amount of snow isn¬¥t even notable compared to the blizzard you¬¥re all enduring, but it is surely very cold and has kept our excursions to a minimum. We went twice to the Hofbrauha?ºs and drank the liter beers as big as my head while induldging in the food we¬¥d scheduled an extra day in Munich just to find. W?ºrst, brat, w?ºrstel, sausage, or whatever you call it we had three delicious meals of the kind. All accompanied by potato and sauerkra?ºt sides. Soooo good. Other than that we met a really nice girl named Emily from Toronto with whom we spent two nights drinking beer and sharing stories. Our hostel was a nice one called Wombats, with an Austrailian theme. There were a lot of Austrailian travelers there celebrating ‘Austrailian Day’ which I¬¥d never known about before. We lucked out, only paying for a 6 bed dorm and getting a 4 bed dorm with only one roomate. But I would have traded our smelly roommate for a whole bus full of people who had good hygiene.
Well be leaving for Bacarach, Germany in a little over a half hour. We will be staying in a castle on the Rhine river and traveling by train to see some of the castles in the surrounding valley. It should be awesome. Try to stay warm and travel safely in that blizzard out there… and do your best to have the snow under control so our arrival home isn¬¥t delayed!
love and misses k
