I just ate half a brownie and some Quinoa. I’ve never had Quinoa before today, nor did I know it was pronounced Keen-wah. Sarah pronounces it that way and she’s a rad yoga practicing individualist artist type who eats cool healthy things so I trust her. I brought the brownie, because I’m a self induldgent chocoholic who writes semi-regularly in a pink blog. We are contrasting in our social vices and pleasure seeking methods. She plays quitar and paints in solitary quiet. I carry a camera into a room full of pretentious drunk people and mingle. It would be interesting to disect the type of artist she is verse my methods of pursuing art. I would like to use the word visceral in my analysis, but after consulting m-w.com I don’t think either of us fits comfortably into this description. Simply because I don’t want to eliminate the intellect from her work and I can’t claim that photography for me these days touches on crude elemental emotion.
Now Sarah has left the computer lab and i’m joined by a student who had introduced me to the Llama song . ENJOY!
In other news… life is good right now. Workng a lot but reaching an equillibrium that makes me feel not so crazed because I enjoy myself a great deal when I’m with my awesome friends (and family) who have taken such good care of me in the past few months. Thanks guys you’re the best!
Thursday was Cinco de Mayo! We partied all over Boston celebrating Ryan’s last day in Boston, old roommates reuniting, G’s bday, Lisa’s Bday and Deb’s favorite Holiday. Started at Hennesy’s with the over 30 business crowd for dinner and beers, wandered to the North End for pastry and to visit Kitten Rosa’s new wigs which are beautiful. Then we headed back out to meet Lisa whose BDAY IS TODAY and Doug. More drinks an exciting (apparently) end to the Celtic’s game and over to finish the night with JIM PLUNKETT! Look at me having a great time (in the background of this drunk guy picture) . Friday was the RED SOX GAME! Where Jenny and I may or may not have gotten kicked out for heckling the Mariner’s bull pen. We’re not sure either!
Also I have aquired beatufiul TIGER. I haven’t figured out how to get my blog updater to work on my dashboard, but soon I’ll be updating while watching the hula girl dance and a creatures in my head slide show… and seeing the weather and watching the time… and my ambient flower vase mail notifier… and so many wonderful things. YAY!
