So yeah. My room is a total mess, as is the entire house. We’ve had a string of visitors of late and its been lovely, but I’ve totally neglected doing any chores. ITs definitely getting out of hand. Today is Sunday. I’m feeilng under the weather and motivation for cleaning is lacking. Instead of mundane house work I will blog. YAY!
Friday night we attended an event called The Wedding Party! It was lots and lots of fun. Everyone who accepted an invitation was required to wear a wedding dress, tuxedo or tacky bridesmaid attire. The group was escorted in Banjo Billy’s Shack Bus from Boulder to Denver for an exclusive dinner at the Navarre Gallery, which is the largest private collection of western art in the world. The space was stunning. The main gallery was four floors with tons of art hung salon style depicting the settlement of the west as well as the development of art. On the first floor an immense beautifully inlaid wooden table sat appointed with silver platters, fine glassware, and ornate pewter candle sticks. At the front of the building were a series of Victorian style rooms with beautifully maintained period furniture and fine crafted antiques. Dinner of course was fabulous and so was the company. After cocktails, conversation, browsing art and a meal at the Gallery we boarded the bus blowing our wedding bubble favors and did some bar hopping.
At Charlie Browns someone bought a round of beers and we drank and sang along with the piano player while causing general confusion to all of the patrons. Our VIP destination was The Church, an old gothic looking church converted into a killer dance club. We had access to a private room and free entry, no waiting in line while the snow began to fall! All in all a killer night, with many props to Banjo Billy for having us and organizing the event.
Saturday was low key. Lots of sleeping in and eventually a little car shopping. YAY ADULT HOOD! Anyway we didn’t get married, but we did wear wedding attire and hang out in a church.
