THE BIG A** MOVE

so we moved this weekend.

and it hurt.

a lot.

But with the help of some non-perscription medication I’m getting over it. I heart advil.

the new house is lovely. its beautiful and comfortable and near perfect with the exception of some strange choices on the part of our landlords. Orange brown carpet with minty green bedroom walls???? Lack of hardward on cabinets that can’t be opened without a lot of straining! Cleaning the oven on the day we agreed we’d be moving in…. but whatever. I love “Ranchito” as it is called and think it is a perfect home. Its relaxing and spacious. It has a beautiful naturalized (ginormous) yard that I’ve been tinkering around in, watering and wondering what will bloom and what is just green. The dog has made friends with the squirells and observes all of their morning activity. Sometimes he barks to say hello, but mostly he runs around the perimeter of the trees in wait. I think he’s just worried they might fall and doesn’t want anything to happen to them. He’s such a nice pup.

We’ve met neighbors. Most of whom do not speak english, but have lovely smiles that exude warmth and kindness. They also have lots of children. The two engligh speaking neighbors we have met like beer. A fact I’ve deduced by the need to carry it around the block while walking the dog announcing that this elixer will cure their bad days. I don’t think this is a bad thing, just an observation of several matters. People who speak english either need beer to walk or they need it to deal with their english speaking days. I’m not sure. Also the open container laws in Denver are a)non-existant b)not important or c) not enforced.

Anyway it off to lunch for me. Internet comes this Saturday to Ranchito!!! Guess what i’ll be doing?!

My place has cabinets with no hardware – the ultimate sign of a cheap landlord. Boo! But your new place sounds neat. I got an e-mail from you at my hmco.com account – I DO work there again, but you should use my Gmail!
