I’ve been doing my best to keep updates going around here and I’ve tried to keep things light, interesting, on the topic of photos to some degree and all with an upbeat attitude. Unfortunately this morning I have a pretty intense headache and really did not get enough sleep last night, because I felt really ill.
Despite all this I’m going to attempt to rally and make myself feel better by highlighting some cool things I’ve experienced recently. I promise not to include Post Secret in this list!
– Last night Drew showed me this 2008 GOP candidate: I guess you could call it propaganda, but click here to decide yourself!
Ron Paulcould be a republican I’d consider voting for based only on this You Tube propaganda. But to be fair I haven’t really looked at his entire platform and from what I hear Mr. Paul is Pro-Life and Pro-Guns. The jury is out on this one, but his ideas are interesting for sure. And I agree with Drew – “Stop Dreaming” is an excellent campaign slogan.
– I took photographs at Pride Fest this past weekend in Denver. It was always a favorite event of mine in Boston and I think Denver has an even better celebration, with a clear concentration on issues and families as well as having a really great time! Vibrant beautiful people were having a blast everywhere. I was touched by then number of families at the Family Field Day Event and encouraged by the cheering crowds on the street made up of every type of person imaginable. It was so uplifting and refreshing to see the GLBT community out in force and everyone supporting them.
The only exception I saw were two individuals at the parade holding signs with relgious messages asking people to repent or something of that nature. In fact, Churches were out in force to support (and I’m sure to some degree recruit) the community. A gallery of some of my images can be seen here: Click here!
– Last night I photographed a great performance at Rocky Mountain Theater for Kids in Boulder Colorado. The actors were probably all under 8 years old and did a great job with the play 101 Dalmations. There were a couple kids who could really belt out a tune and did some solos. And little Cruella Deville did a remarkable job recalling her long lines. I was impressed and I had lots of fun taking these photos: Check em out!
– I’m currently feeling a little better, so I guess my exercise in thinking about the good things worked, thanks for listening! 🙂
