Conflicted.

It’s 1:35am Thursday morning June 26th. I’m filled with a variety of emotions.

Confusion, frustration, exhaustion and anger because my laptop and Drew’s guitar seem to have gone missing, but there is no evidence of someone breaking into our house to take them.

Content, delight, & happiness because we just had an awesome night at Snooks Lounge filled with a lot of memorable and hilarious events.

Accomplishment from shooting at Red Rocks for the first time (see the photos below!).

Luckiness for a variety of reasons – from this weekend when Drew won an iPod Shuffle (which might also have been stolen) at the Grocery Store Grand Re-Opening and because losing a laptop and a guitar are probably the least important of our possessions… in fact they’re just that. Possesssions. But where did they go? Why were they taken over our Wii, PS2, TV, other computers, camera equipment, etc?

Exhaustion… it’s now 1:45am and I should be sleeping. Drew is passed out… and well I should try to do the same, but the frustration is gnawing at me. I want to go look in dumpsters for our missing possessions, but its late and frankly kind of nerve wracking to walk the alleys at this hour, even with the dog by my side.

As I mentioned I had the opportunity to shoot at Red Rocks last Friday. The band Slim Cessna’s Auto Club was playing a gig at Red Rocks and I was lucky to capture their performance. They’re one hell of a band, from stellar musicians, to what I’m going to call full bodied music with soul and depth and an excellent couple of vocalists, Munly & Slim, who just rock the crowd. I love that this is the kind of band that reminds me how live performances can really bring music to life.
