I’m certain that part of my ridiculously emotional state over this wedding is due to the fact that I know Sue Ann personally, but also it was a wedding that was MEANT. So I teared up pretty much all day and my make up was ruined.
Sue Ann is one of those people who you can’t help by gravitate toward. She’s miraculously positive, inspiringly independent, and driven by a stunning mix of passion and talent. She met her soul mate, Rick, at the Denver Botanic concert series where they danced the night away together. And it was magic.
They returned to the site of that magic to share vows in front of their loved ones and then invited everyone to join them as they danced again at the site of their first meeting. AND they were congratulated by the Botanic Gardens publicly at the concert. If this was paper, the words would be smudged.
Guests we’re provided with fabric to make prayer flags and bring them to decorate the wedding site instead of a guest book.
Their dog Chapin (named after the singer whose concert they met at) carried the rings. Their children were integral parts of the wedding day.
And Sue Ann surprised Rick with a special brick located in the Gardens with a personal inscription. Their wedding day was so joyous. So true. So magical. I hope you can feel it in the photos.
