Caught on Film

When I was in college I studied black and white fine art photography. I spent hours in the darkroom. I studied Ansel Adam’s zone system and great documentary photographers throughout history. And then after I graduated, I bought a digital SLR. Casting off the ancient Topcon Beseler 35mm relic that is roughly twice my age and was my constant companion through high school. Recently I’ve been attempting to pursue personal projects again. I’m hoping one, which will be a digital composite, will be ready to share in a few weeks. But until then Drew and I have been taking photo safaris. So he can learn more about photography technique and I can explore my past love. Here are three frames from last weekend.
