That one place.

You know that one place. It’s the one where you left some integral part of yourself, because it was so intrinsically tied to that location, at that time, in those moments. It’s a place you go back to and mutter about how things have changed, while marveling at the bits that have remained. Pristine… not just in your memory. It’s a place where your heart softens. A place where your mind floods with memory. And maybe, if you’re lucky, you get to visit that place again and see it through new eyes. I hope you are so lucky.
