We left Scranton Pa yesterday morning, but only after stopping at the infamous Scheetz M(ade)T(o)O(rder) gas station. After punching the endlessly upselling touch screen a dozen or so times I left with a Bacon egg and cheese “Schmuffin” and a rather rancid Hazelnut coffee. Here is the glorious gas food mecca:
You’ll be happy to know on our 588.something mile journey from the mountains of central Pennsylvania to the corn fields of northern Indiana, we really only hit traffic a couple times and for various reasons, as seen here:
We were only mildly lost once, while finding gas in a very small Ohio town. We saw a lot of fields and Silos. This is Scott Road which leads to Certified gas station:
Once in Indiana we stayed with our gracious host Danielle and her family’s assortment of pets. My favorite is a mallard duck who has domesticated herself and lives in the pond out back. She doesn’t mind being held, which is a totally novel experience for us city kids.
