Well Calumet was offering a special price on the 20d for 48 hours only during the “canon days” promotion…. and I did it. I took a loan out from the national bank of boyfriend… gave them my old slr and optura100mc mini dv cam for collateral and did it. I now own a beautiful canon digital slr and its kind of overwhelming. it happened in a split second yesterday morning driving home from erin deb and steph’s holiday party. As we were jumping onto Storrow talk of the camera I was considering buying filled the car. The sale was ending that day so my wonderful man veered off the next exit ramp and took me camera shopping. I have read the manual and played with it a little, but I think i’m in a state of shock right now. The camera is awesome. Tons of great features, all set up in a similar fashion to my old elan IIE, so its intuitive for a canon user. Or atleast I think it is. It took me a while to get the strobe effect for the flash to stop, apparently its the autofocus assist or something, but i called it a pain in my ass. The other wierd part of buying the camera yesterday was that I rushed off to work just after picking it up and it was all rather dreamlike. When I got home Michael had charged it up for me and waiting… and my brain was like… are you sure thats yours? So yeah. I’m gonna play with is some more today and maybe get some cool images to post soon. YAy me.
